Andrew Norman Wilson (b. 1983, Medfield, MA) is a New York-based artist navigating the intricate boundaries between cinema and contemporary art. He received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2011 and a BS in Television, Radio, and Film from Syracuse University in 2006.
Solo exhibitions of his work have been organized in various international institutions including Clementin Seedorf, Kรถln, Germany (2023); MIT List Visual Arts Center, Cambridge, MA (2021); Ordet, Milan, Italy (2020); Kunstverein Braunschweig, Braunschweig, Germany (2019); Center for Contemporary Art Futura, Prague, Czech Republic (2018); and the Broad Art Museum, East Lansing, MI (2017). He has also participated in notable group exhibitions including the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab, Taipei, Taiwan (2023); the Renaissance Society, Chicago, IL (2022); the Museum of Modern Art in New York, NY (2022); Centre Pompidou, Paris, France (2021); and the Sharjah Art Foundation, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (2020); among others.
Andrew Norman Wilson’s work has been featured in Art in America, Artforum, ArtReview, BOMB, Frieze, The New Yorker, and Wired, while his writing has been published in Artforum, e-flux, DIS, and a Darren Bader monograph from Koenig Books. His work is also in prominent collections including the Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; the Museum of Modern Art in New York, NY; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY; CNAP, France; the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Poland; the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami, FL; the Stolbun Collection, US; Collection Lambert, Avignon, France; and the Kadist Foundation, France.
