DOCUMENT is pleased to announce its participation in the 2018 edition of Secteur Lafayette at FIAC with a presentation of works by Julien Creuzet and Paul Mpagi Sepuya. Both artists work in the realm of material experimentation: Creuzet with language, time-based media, and sculpture, and Sepuya with photography, portrai- ture, and collage. Creuzet’s work is both poetic and political, drawing from histori- cal narratives, real and forgotten, and a dense set of personal associations. Sepuya’s photographic practice depends on analog methods of fragmentation and reconstruc- tion, resulting in complex images that sincerely regard feeling and sensuality as tools for photographic inquiry.
